My youngest's bedoom
My youngest made an awesome bed using some giant redwood that once grew in the local churchyard.
Already there’s a table here hewn from a massive cedar that once grew alongside it.
Whilst sitting at this cedar table, I drew the redwood when I first noticed its decline…
and again when it was being felled.
We visited the stump to count the rings…150 years old.
Enough timber was left over to make a shelf from each either side of the hearth.
